Lily Cain is a senior at Whiteland High School, in the graduating class of 2020. She has had many accomplishments, from being involved in the Riley Dance Marathon and being President and Executive. She was also the BPA vice president. Involved in the National Honors Society, she was the Junior Secretary. She received the leadership award for football cheer. She has been accepted to Indiana State University with a full ride scholarship!
Throughout high school, Lily has participated in Rhythm Masters, Riley Dance Marathon, World Culture Club, Student Council, National Honors Society, Business Professionals of America, Best Buddies, Track and Field, Future Problem Solvers, and cheer. With SO many things keeping her busy during school, Lily also juggles work, volunteering at some of her favorite places, and enjoys doing art! She loves to challenge herself with different things such as baking, art, or pushing herself to try new things.
Now that Lily’s senior year has come to an end, she regrets not taking enough pictures and videos to look back on and see the memories and smiles that were shared for so many years. She also wishes she had attended more events throughout her time at Whiteland High School. Some of the memories that Lily will carry with her forever range from walking through the halls with her friends, doing question of the day in Kunz class, walking across the court with her best friend on senior night, going to Kings Island after prom, and seeing the grand total at the conclusion of the Riley Dance Marathon. The thing that has made her the most upset this year is that her graduation with lifelong friends has been pulled away from her.
Lily is most proud of the way her grades have turned out each year, allowing her to have more options in her future and allow her to qualify for more scholarships. In addition to this, she is so thankful for the chance to have had an internship at Angel Animal Hospital & Endress+Hauser. She is excited that she got to participate in this senior team, as well! She will miss being around her friends that she has known since elementary school. However, she will not miss not having a flexible schedule and 8-hour long days.
With many adventures, her favorites are when she went cliff diving or Perfect North with some good friends! Since her senior Spring Break trip with her friends got cancelled, she’s going to have to make it up with some other good memories.
Lily has been accepted to Indiana State University and plans to attend there. In hopes to receive her bachelors in Management Information Systems. With already being accepted to the Networks Program, there are a variety of options coming her way. This will allow her to venture on many domestic and international trips each year.
With already accomplishing so much, there’s no doubt in my mind that you’ll do big things and accomplish all of your dreams. You are bigger than everything that has been thrown at you. Good luck at Indiana State! Go Sycamores!
